Maude L. Ebert

Mrs. Maude Lucille Ebert, 80, of Galesburg, IL, formerly of rural Blandinsville, IL, passed away at 3:30PM Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Heartland Nursing Home in Galesburg.

She was born in Burlington, IA on August 13, 1932 the daughter of William and Maude Adams Marshall. On August 13, 1950 she married Clarence Ebert in Nauvoo, IL. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1988.

Maude was a graduate of the Nauvoo High School. She and her husband, Clarence, farmed most of their lives in Fountain Green Township. She was a member of the Fountain Green Presbyterian Church and the South County Pitch Club. Maude was a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Cowboys and Nascar, especially Jeff Gordon. She enjoyed working outside in her garden.

Mrs. Ebert is survived by 1 son, Mark (Aletha) Ebert of rural Blandinsville, 1 granddaughter, Misty Nelson of Chicago, 1 brother, James Marshal of Wataga, IL and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence, 2 sisters, Anne Crowner and Doris Marshall and 1 brother who died in infancy, Karl Marshall.

Memorial Services will be held at 7:00PM Monday, March 4, 2013 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. Burial will be held at the LaHarpe Cemetery at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for the Fountain Green Fire Dept. or the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Send a condolence here.
